VA Lottery
The Virginia State Lottery needed a better understanding of the digital ecosystem and a strong plan for achieving their goals through meaningful, interactive engagements.
We created a roadmap that would guide the Lottery through their digital transformation, addressing everything from marketing to development to visual design and more. Working closely with the core stakeholders, we defined best practices, identified user personas, developed customer touchpoint metrics, and delivered a comprehensive strategy.

The Process
With help from our Content Strategist and former UX designer, we were able to establish a baseline MVP with the client from the info they collected. Low fidelity wireframes based on common components were shared with users and refined before moving to visual design. With wireframes being approved, I was tasked with creating the UI kit that would become the base for the page types needed on the website.

The Design
With the lottery site having so many elements needed due to the variety of options they offer, our component library had to quite robust. To keep the amount of elements to a manageable level, I was able to work up some alternate color options within the components to add variations but maintain the grid. This gave us the ability to make each section more unique and playful without it seeming to structured.

The Result
The client was beyond thrilled with the end result. Due to government budget cuts, the site was delayed in launching.
